Ryan Jenei
Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach – Colby College
Ryan Jenei joined the Colby College Men’s Basketball staff after serving as an Assistant Coach at Oglethorpe University from 2023–2025. At Oglethorpe, he played an integral role in all aspects of the program, including player development, on-court instruction, opponent scouting, recruiting, social media coordination, and strength and conditioning oversight.
Jenei began his career at Oglethorpe as a student-athlete, competing from 2018–2023 in a five-year playing career that left a significant mark on the program. He appeared in 119 games and recorded 856 points, 443 rebounds, 143 assists, and 74 steals, while finishing 9th all-time at Oglethorpe in three-pointers made. A consistent academic performer, he earned Southern Athletic Association Academic All-Conference honors in all five of his seasons.
In the offseason, Jenei expanded his coaching and leadership experience as a coach and Assistant General Manager for Redline Basketball Club UA Rise, beginning in 2023. During his tenure, he helped grow the organization from eight to sixteen teams ranging from 4th to 11th grade. His responsibilities included player recruitment and placement, on-court coaching, practice planning, player development, game management, social media, and overall program structure and operations. He also coached with the Atlanta Timberwolves AAU program for two seasons and worked in event operations with HoopSeen for two summers.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Oglethorpe University in 2022 and also holds a Business Analytics certificate.
Now at Colby, Jenei brings his passion for teaching, player development, and program organization to the Mules program, contributing to a high-character, growth-oriented environment for student-athletes and campers alike.
Benji Oxman
Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach – Colby College
Benji Oxman joins the Colby Men’s Basketball staff with seven years of collegiate basketball experience in coaching, scouting, and player development. Prior to Colby, he served as an Assistant Coach at Oglethorpe University, helping the team to a 16–10 record and a program-best 86.3 points per game during the 2024–2025 season. He also spent two years as a Graduate Assistant at Belmont University, where the Bruins posted a 41–23 record in their first two seasons in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Oxman has strong experience in grassroots basketball as well, serving as Head Coach for the 17U Atlanta Timberwolves AAU program, where he guided his teams to a 70–46 combined record and helped more than 25 players earn college opportunities. He previously worked three years with the University of South Carolina men’s basketball program and spent a year as a scout with Relentless Hoops.
